Membership Eligibility
Eligible members are employees who work for one of the Segmented Employee Groups:
- City of Austin
- Austin Utilities
- Austin Public School District #492
If you are related to a current Member by blood, adoption or marriage, you are eligible to join, regardless of where you live and work.
If a person leaves the field of membership, that member and all those who joined because of their membership may continue to belong to the Credit Union. When a member dies, their spouse, the blood, and adoptive relatives of either of them and their spouses may still join.
Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying objects.
